John,
I have found several references to the Bostick Family in a supurbly helpful document titled, "A Historical and Biographical Sketch of the Harris Family of Appoquinimink Hundred, New Castle, DE," written by Mr. James W. Lattomus of Wilmington, DE in 1910. It is currently held in the Harris family folder in the Historical Society of Delaware in Wilmington. Most of the relationships provided in the Lattomus document the been included in the Jones-Gooden family tree (by Ken Jones), andCrew-Lind family tree (by Kathy Crew) and can be found on RootsWeb.com.
The Lattomus document also providews the following information:
James Harris married Temperance Caulk who bore him four children, Joshua, Rachel, Temperance, and James II. James died in 1792 and Temperance married Perigrine (elsewhere, Peregrine) Bostick. There is no information about any children of Temperance and Perigrine.
Also from the Lattomus document: Samuel B. Bostick, V.D. Vandike, and James Nash werewitnesses to the will of Sapin Harris [sic] drawn on November 21, 1750, and probated on December 15, 1750.
Mr. Lattomus also makes reference to a John Bostick (no dates) who married Rachel Harris (b 1824). They had one girl Anne Bostick. Anne married Unk. Bromall. They had one daughter, Cora Broomall.
Also, an interesting and probaly unrelated tidbit from the document: One of the oldest families in the Appoq. Hundred was the Reynolds family. The were related by marriage to Peregrine Cole whose descendents have become prominent in Ohio.
I hope this is helpful. Please write if you need further details or clarification. Also, many thanks for the information on Sapin you sent me.
