Genforum has another success story! Phyllis Harris, a daughter of Merwyn LeSage Galbraith and Camilla Warren Heiser had not seen her mother since her parents divorced 1945-1947. Phyllis was between one and three years old at the time. Phyllis has been looking for her mother most of her adult life. About a year ago, Phyllis asked me, if I could help because I have been doing genealogy research for several years. Phyllis is my father's second wife. At the same time, (unknown to Phyllis and me) a daughter, Lynn Oliver, from Camilla's second marriage was looking for Phyllis and her siblings. Lynn asked her best friend, Janice to help her. I posted several messages on Genforum hoping but really didn't expect anything. It had been over a year, but Janice found my messages. She hit another snag when she found that the e-mail address with my messages was not valid. Somehow she found my current e-mail address and contacted me. I was very pleasantly surprised and very anxious to tell Phyllis she had a half-sister who had been trying to find her. Phyllis and Lynn and the rest of the siblings are very excited to learn of each other and are planning to meet sometime soon.
Thank you Genforum! And thank you Janice!
