Anita -- The information I have says that John was born March 22, 1711 but I am not sure if that means the John who died in 1748 or the one who died in 1758. It further states that the Moores came from the lowlands of Scotland. If that is the case, it is possible that they came to America after the battle of Culloden in 1746. This seems to be a logical theory since so many Scots were banished and transported. If you have any further info, it would be appreciated.
