Marty, I have Shaws in my family in this time. If you have access to Ancestry families check my Shaws in Murderkill Hundred Craigs. A number of my ancestors m a family of Shaws. I have 5 Craig brothers and there were a number of Shaw dtrs. Joshua d abt 1733 w/ son Ephraim, who m Leah Craig, dtr of Hugh Craige and Agnes. Ephraim apparently had several sons; he and Leah I believe were likely m in the early 1750s but not likely earlier than this. There was a Thomas Shaw who was in Kent Co c. 1700. I am still trying to find connections between these families and names related to him; he did own land. -I am sure they are, just don't know how. One of the descendants families is still in the Harrington, Kent De area, just south of MK hud where my ancestors were and it is just s. of Dover Hundred aka St Jones in earlier days.
