Mary, Kent County Cemetery Records is a book published by Dill, Dill & Dill to document a project to list all graves in Kent Count, Delaware. The title of the book is 'Souls in Heaven, Names in Stone; KENT COUNTY DELAWARE Cemetery Records'. It was published in 1989 by Gateway Press in Baltimore, MD. It's a two volume set that is probably the most complete document available for Kent cemetery records up until the 1980s. I don't know who the owners of Ennis & Deakyne were and my father and his family have all passed so I can't ask them. Probably was passed down for a few generations and I believe it is now closed. I did take a look at the 1930 Census and found Credic Ennis listed as a Garage Manager with a boarder, Ruben Deakyne, who listed his industry as Garage as well but I can't make out the occupation. Shaufer? Perhaps they meant chauffer? The Smyrna address in the margin is Boulevard so I guess they lived on RT 13 near or at the dealership. The 1920 Census lists Creadick S. Ennis, Age 24 as a private Chauffer. Someone has added an alternate spelling of Creadich to the listing. Dennis Notify Administrator about this message?
