Searching for information about my gggrandmother Catherine
Buskirk born in Ohio about 1823. Her father was born in New Jersey and her mother was born in Pennsylvania.
Catherine maried John Hayden born in Ireland about 1815.
In 1860 they were listed in the Waterloo, IL census with
their seven sons. John died January 5, 1889 and Catherine
died April 8, 1890. They remained in this area until their
deaths.
In the 1940's my mother related the story that Catherine
was supposed to be Cherokee Indian. From my reseach, I
believe she may have been from the Delaware Indian Tribe.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any
information concerning Catherine.
