Newcastle arrivals, Feb. 1730.

A Newell family history claims that Samuel Newell arrived in Newcastle [Delaware] 2 Feb. 1730, from Ulster with his wife and children, just under 16 to 20. Unfortunately the author does not cite where this information was found and a number of people have tried to verify it. Does anyone out there know if there are indeed some records of arrivals at Newcastle in this period? Where are such records located?
How does one access them?
It is beginning to look like this might have been a fabricated record to support someone's assumptions. I would hope that there is in fact such a record out there.
