Hi Tom,
Thanks so much for answering my post. But the Bridget you have there cannot be my Bridget Hennessey Welch.
My Bridget and John Welch had six children together, all born in Delaware Co. IA. (Edward, Mary, Margaret, John, William and Ellen).
Bridget died in 1894 in Plymouth Co. IA, which was the current residence of her oldest son, my grampa, Edward.
Their son William gave his Mother's birthplace as Ireland.
Ironically, her death certificate says England!
Their daughter Ellen thought her folks were married in New York.
As I said, they appeared to drop out of the sky, into Delaware Co. IA! Nothing before that. BRICK WALL!
I sure do appreciate your taking the time to do this research though. Thanks again!
Deb
