I am looking for help finding my Morgan family. I know that my Grandfather Joseph Morgan (married Rachel Griffith)came from Delaware in 1791 and settled in what is now Marion County, WV. Their first child was also born in 1791 and was named William Turner Morgan. I have Kent County probate records showing Joeseph Morgan's mother, Joyce Turner, daughter of Samuel Turner enter around 1769. I have found Rachel Griffith's father , Samuel Griffith, entered about the same time.
I would love to find fact about who was Joseph Morgan's father was. I have been searching for marriage records for a Joyce Turner and _____ Morgan, father and mother of Joseph, but have not been successful. I am also looking for marriage records on Joseph Morgan and Rachel Griffith Morgan.
I am thinking that Joseph could be from either Kent or Sussex County DE. or possibly Maryland.
