Thanks, Frank, for all the wonderful information. I don't have a Benjamin Hazel, but that doesn't mean anything. I have nothing for my ancestor Hugh Hazel's parents or siblings. All I have is that he might have been born in Dover, Kent County, DE; married to Ruth Kern/Kerns. Then moved to Orange Township, Richland County, Ohio. When bounderies for counties were changed, Orange Townwhip was located in Ashland County, Ohio. Hugh and Ruth had my (not sure how many gr's) Isaac G. Hazel in 1831. Isaac was married to Margaret Rice. Isaac and Margaret had my great-grandmother, Ruby Rice. Don't know her date of birth right now. Ruby married Everett E. Walker in Amherst, Lorain County, Ohio. I have more information for the Walker Family than I do for the Hazel or Rice Families. Hugh died, at the age of 101 (or 102) in 1898 or 1899, in either Huron or Wayne Counties.

Patricia
