There is a very old Pinder/Pendor family in Kent County, DE. The name is spelled both ways. I do not know if this is the same family as the later Pinders, but here are my notes on Edward Pendor:

Edward Pendor
Married Sarah Preston (transported from VA) widow of William Ford of Dorchester Co. They were Quakers, evidently.
Sorry, I just jotted it down from some unknown source.

"John Flowers of Kent Co., SON AND HEIR OF JOHN FLOWERS, late of same co., yeoman, dec'd.....whereas John Flowers, the father, in his lifetime, for a valuable consideration to him in hand paid by John Dawson, then of same co., did sell to John Dawson a tr. of land a side of Isaacks Br of Dover River, being pt/o a larger tr. called Dundee.. by Hardin Andrews Jr. ... 150 a ... by sundry mean conveyances the 150 a. are rightfully in the possession of Alexander Pendor of same Co., yeoman ...this indenture John Flowers, the son for the afsd. consideration and 6 pounds release unto Alexander Pendor afsd. tr. of land... Wit.: Elizabeth Pepper, Hugh Durborow Junr. Ackn. 15 Aug. 1722." (G:pg. 100) (Kent Co. Delaware Land Records, 1680-1701, v.l, p. 109)
There may be more information on the Pendors in Colonial Families of Delaware, a multi-volume set by F. Edward Wright.
