Edgar Benroy Sandt 1917

Edgar Benroy Sandt lived in Philadelphia, PA. I do not know his date of birth or date of death. He and his family were born in Pennsylvania. He lived for awhile in Springfield, MO. He was a metalworker and private detective. He was involved in a then famous kidnapping. In December of 1917 he was arrested by Department of Justice agents because he was a German propagandist. I cannot find out what happened to him after that. Does anyone know what happened to him? He also went by the name of Ed Rielly, Edgar Benroy, and other names. Does the National Archives in Washington, DC have any information about what happened to him? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks brian
