Kris, The Family Search website has some DC birth/christening information dating from 1830 to 1955, but most of the Holtzmans are in the 1870s.Go to:http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=allCollections&r=0/http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=allCollections&r=0/.
I have access to some marriages and deaths from DC and Georgetown papers that date from about the 1810s through the 1860s or so. As you might guess, there were over a thousand hits for “Holtzman,” and with no first names to go by, it was difficult to narrow down those that may be of interest to you.If you would like copies of what I found, provide your email address and I will forward copies.
Good luck with your research,
Alp
