Not sure if this will help but found the following at genealogybank.com:
Daily National Intelligencer
District of Columbia
July 10, 1861
Local Matter Movements of Troops
Funeral of Soldiers---Messrs. Riggs and Uhl, members of Company B, Turner Rifles, Major Gerhardt's battalion, who were killed in the skirmish at Great Falls on Sunday, were buried yesterday morning. The funeral took place from their Armory in this city. There was a considerable turn out of the military who formed the escort to the new German cemetery, near Glenwood. The companies represented were four companies of Major Jewell's battalion, the Turner Rifles, Washington Rifles, Metropolitan Rifles, Constitutional Guards, and Company C of Fourteenth Regiment New York State Volunteers, Capt. Herrer. Great sympathy is felt here for the families of these soldiers, who fell in defence of the Union.
Hope this help,
Karen
