There really isn't that much online for DC.
If you have relatives buried at Congressional Cemetery, their website is excellent:
http://www.congressionalcemetery.orghttp://www.congressionalcemetery.org
The best online resource for researching in DC is, I think, the Washington Post archives, which is online and searchable back to 1877 at the Post's website:
http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/washingtonpost/search.html?nid=roll_archiveshttp://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/washingtonpost/search.html?nid=roll_archives
Searching is free. There are charges to access full text of the articles:
1 article = $3.95
4 article pkg = $10.95
10 article pkg = $19.95
25 article pkg = $29.95
You may be able to locate a library that offers the service for free to its patrons. It's called ProQuest.
The Library of Congress has some portions of the Washington Post online for free but it's limited.I posted the link sometime earlier this year.
