A.STEBBINS ANDERSON HOUSE IN WASHINGTON D.C.
I am on a quest for a cousin who owns a house in Washington D.C. that was built in 1878 by a 'A. STEBBINS ANDERSON'. My cousin would like to research the house's history beginning with this individual. One would think that a name such as his (Mr.Anderson) would not present a huge problem in a census search, but, alas,it does! We both believe that Mr. Anderson's middle name is a family name coming from his mother's side or possibly his father's mother's side;regardless, a family name. I have posted to this board and the 'Stebbins' family message board on the remote chance that someone out there has some information, no matter how remote that might assist in researching this house and it's original owner. My cousin has no idea what the "A" in Mr. Anderson's name stands for. If we did, that might move us forward in the search. I thank anyone who might know something in advance.
