Barbara:

The days were founding residents in Gallia having moved
there from Fleming County KY. I have no direct info on
your GF but his dad was probably William Day and they
were from Prince Georges, Maryland (now Wash,D.C.) and
his GF would also have been named william which makes for
very confusing genealogy. The family orignates out of Matthew DAy who was born in London England and came to
America about 1700 and had a son Leonard who would have been
your GF's GGF. I would give you dates, but all MY gen is
stored as we have recently moved. yOUR GALLIA DAYS MOVED
TO DELAWARE CITY OHIO AND MANY ARE BURIED THERE. yOU CAN
MAYBE PICKUP A LINE ON YOUR gf THERE.
