I haven't checked on Beaufort. My focus has been to try and find where a Dailey/variation in Roane co., TN may have been before/after 1815. I have been unable to find much trace of Dailey in/around Roane co., TN before 1815. In fact, it has almost been a total dead end. There are indications the widow of James Dailey ended up in Wythe co., VA. IF they were related to Mary "Polly" who m John Nelson 30 Jan 1815 in Roane Co. - would more likely have been her brother.

Regarding your Ramsey - were they perchance in Lancaster Dist., SC (Waxhaws)? There were several mentioned in father Robert's will from the area: Robert m Sarah Givens (to Overton co, TN), Alexander (IL), James m Rosannah(stayed Lancaster Dist), William, David, John m Eleanor (to KY), Sarah, Elizabeth m Unk. Ketton. Robert and John received Rev War pensions.
