I am looking for evidence of the existence of Joseph Dawson from Monaghan Ireland born approx 1780. He is my gr grandfather several times over. My cousin and I have traced back the following:
Bernard M Dawson (1898-1980 Syracuse, NY, married Veronica Welch) son of
Joseph William Dawson (1864 Kingston, Ontario -1937 Syracuse, NY, married Alice Cummings) son of
Joseph William Dawson (1841 Kingston, Ontario - 1883 Syracuse, NY married Brigid Fahey) son of
John Joseph Dawson (1805 Ematris, Monaghan, Ireland - 1854 Wolfe Island,
Ontario married Frances Armstrong) son of
Joseph Dawson (or Richard Joseph Dawson) (1780 Monaghan, Ireland??? - 1822 Argenteuil Co, Ontario?married Jane Fleming )
We have a copy of the death registration of Jane, wife of Joseph Dawson from Holy Trinity Church in Quebec..
We have indication from church records in Ematris, Monaghan of the baptism of Riichard Fleming Dawson son of Joesph and Jane in 1816
We can not find any proof of Joseph's birth or marriage to Jane or the birth/baptism of other children including my gr grandfather Joseph William Dawson
Any help would be appreciated.
