Ref;Samuel Dawley b1718, son of John Dawley b1690-1753 and Lydia Armstrong. Samuel had a son also named Samuel. Sameul Jr was a problem. The Exeter town council gave Sam Jr's wife a divorce and exiled him from the town. I have no names on the wives of the Samuel's but the multiple Samuel's, father and son may be cause of confusion. According to Exeter family doctor Samuel Jr was "dirty old man".
Father John Dawley 1690-1753 had sons; *Michael ?-1775, *John 1708-1768, *Daniel 1720-1776, *Samuel, *Nathan 1724-1788, William 1726-1753 and daughters; Sarah b1720, Lydia b1718. * indicate names on Rhode Island Freeman Census of Registered Voter 1747-1775. John Dawley b1690 was son of John Dawley b1635 and Sarah.
I am lineage of Michael Dawley b1709.
