Cousin! Now it is becoming a little clearer.Kate I still need to know how your grandmother arrived at Isaac Sr being the son of Oliver before I can feel confident that he was.My wife has hand written notes of her ancestors saying who their ancestors were.Is this how you know Oliver was your ancestor or did your grandmother find it through her research because if that was the case I need the source so I can verify it.
Are you from the RI area? There is a book called Daniel Stedman's Journal. His Journal begins in 1825 and ends about 1860.He mentions the deaths of Thomas Harvey(John's father),John Harvey,Lydia Harvey,Isaac Dawley and the widow Braman at the home of John Harvey(she was buried in the "Mumford burying grounds").That is five of our ancestors! The Burdick book you mention does not have Sarah Dawley's 1st husband Samuel Burdick and so I have learned to not take for granted all that is written.
