Yes I am that Carol Dawley. Job Dawley is son of John Dawley and Mary Tripp NOT Daniel Dawley. The mistake to his parents was due to misinformation from LSD. George Adelbert Dawley was born 31 January 1851. William A Dawley was born 28 June 1852. His name was James Arthur but was christened Willie. He died 11 August 1947 in Vanport, Multnomah, Oregon. He was buried 15 August 1947 in Rose City Cemetary, OR.In talking with Victor Dawley @ 1970's he said: " Will Dawley was the editor of the Sturgis Advertiser" in Meade County, SD and also the postmaster. He had a physical deformity. When his wife died, he ran a ranch in Virginia and then Portland, Oregon. When he lived in Portland, he lived in a new government housing project right below the dam. When the dam broke on Memorial Day 1948 at night his second wife died. She and the house were never found again. Her name was Camilla Wernerlund. Willie had 5 children - 2 boys and 3 girls. They were: Amos (born @ 1884 in SD & lived in Olympia, WA), Ruth (she had a son who did public speaking in Olympia, WA and a daughter who was a corrective speech teacher.), May J. (born 1889 in SD & lived in Vanport City, Oregon), Kate (born 1888 in SD), and Grover (died 22 july 1948 Seattle, WA)" I have no record of a Charles A Dawley in the George Washington Dawley family. George W. and Amelia Stimson had four children - Josephina Lucinda (married Mahlon Gore mayor of Orlando, FL), Willie A., George Adelbert, and Mary Jane.
