Looking into my mothers geneology. Her mothers maiden name is Dawkins. Her fathers name is Fred O Dawkins. Fred married Evah Ellen Oliver and had three kids: Orville, Melvin and Jessie Mae. Fred remarried to Mary E.(unknown last name) and she had a son Arthur Wiedenfeld. Freds siblings are: John, Perly, Ida, and Kathryn. Fred was born 1879 died 1939. We have been told that he was killed in Montana for sheep farming, some cattle ranchers killed him because his sheep were eating all the grass. Don't know how true this is. Orville R Dawkins was killed by a car in Mapleton Iowa according to what we have heard. Melvin Dawkins was hit by a car and killed in Xenia, Oh. Jessie Mae lived and died in Eagle Grove, Iowa, survived by 7 kids. We have not been able to find anything to substantiate any of the above. We are looking for any and all information that anyone can give us.
