He did have a son by that name, in which case your Mary may be named after her Aunt. My George was born about 1703 or 1705. He married Mary Chloe Warwick (still not 100% on that). Their daughter Maryann was born about 1740. She married Edward Lane from Albemarle, Virginia, he died in Combahee River, Union, South Carolina in 1782. Maybe we are linked...
