There was a William Dawkins in Newberry Co SC 1770-80's. He was born ca 1730 VA, located in PR. Wm. Co where he married Mary Harrisson ca 1756 and Jane (Jean) Harrison later, oldest and youngest daughters of Burr Calvert alias Harrison of Pr Wm & Newberry, same time. Their children were Dorothy (Dollie), William Jr., Eleanor Jane, Chloe, Micajah, Francis, possibly others. William was a Captain during the Revolution and has many descendants in GA and in DAR on his service. Hope this is of some help. Would appreciate any Wm lineage. Thanks.
