Our family records (oral until about 1945) show a daughter of Judge Bushrod Washington marrying a Dawkins, probably around 1810 or so. We have no info on the Dawkins man, but he and Bushrod's daughter had (presumably among other issue) a daughter who married a Blackerby. Your Bushrod Dawkins may have been a son of the Dawkins/Washington union.
