Would like to contact descendants of Matthew Dawkins. He served in Co. F, 24th GA Reg. CSA. He was discharged due to chronic asthma and arthritis. He was born in Rabun Co., GA. His confederate gravestone was wrongly delivered. We would like to find where he is buried and place stone on grave. The inscription states: Matthew Dockins, Co. F, 24 GA Reg, CSA. When I looked Dockins up in the Confederate roster, the entry states to see DAWKINS. The entry for A. M. Dawkins matches Co. F., 24th GA Regiment. Any help locating Matthew's grave?
