I'm looking for information on the ancestors or descendants of James Edward Dawes, born about 1814 in England.
In about 1833, he married Mary A. <lastname unknown>, in either Maine or Massachusetts. She was born about 1813 in Maine.
Children of this couple included:
- Sarah E. Dawes, born about 1834, probably in Massachusetts.
- Catherine I. Dawes, born about 1835, probably in Massachusetts.
- Emma E. Dawes, born about 1838, probably in Massachusetts.
- Elizabeth A. Dawes, born about 1839, probably in Massachusetts.
- James Edward Dawes, born August 1841, in Massachusetts; who married Annie Francis Morris in about 1873. (She was born August 1848 in Georgia)
- Mary E. Dawes, born about 1845, probably in Massachusetts.
- Harriet R. Dawes, born January 1850, probably in Massachusetts.
I have some information on the descendants of James E. Dawes and Annie Francis Morris, but would like to compare notes on other branches as well.
