I am descended from a Starkey Dawes (or Daws, as it was later spelled) who came to West TN in 1827 from Bertie County, NC. (There was a big migration to West TN in those years.) I have an old biography of one of his grandsons, my gg-grandfather George B. Daws. It states that Starkey's father emigrated from England, but does not give a name. Can anyone link to this line? Thank you!!!
