My wife descends from Albert Dawes, brother of your Edwin. I have quite a lot of local Wabash County, Indiana information on the Dawes family that I would gladly share with interested parties.

I would like to learn about the Dawes connection in England. My research indicates that they were Quakers since the mid 1700's and that Albert, Edwin and Sarah [the mother]Dawes was received in the Wabash Monthly Meeting from the Dervonshire Monthly Meeting, London, England. I have never conducted any English research so I do not know where to begin to research the family on the other side of the pond. If someone has ideas, please send them my way.
