Caleb DAWES was born about 1754 in England, arrived, probably in NY, in 1793. His wife Susan was born about 1777. They moved to Boston about 1801. They had at least four children: William b. abt. 1800, Mary Ann b. 1802, Susannah b. abt. 1804 and Hannah b. abt. 1809. Mary Ann m. Samuel BENDER in Jefferson Co. IN, in 1820. Samuel and Mary Ann moved to KY, but the rest of this Dawes family may have settled in Indiana. However, I have not been able to find any record of it to date.
