I don't know of any connections, but if we could find suitable candidates to join the DAWE Surname DNA project with representatives from Devon, Dorset and Cornish lines we might get somewhere with the pooled information.

I'm particularly interested in two sets of DAWE families:
My own direct line, that of Isaac and Sarah (SMITH) DAWE of Lamerton,
and
that of Sampson & Joan (BLANCHARD) DAWE of Buckland Monachorum area, which family has extensive cross relationships with other families of mine.
Love to hear from any male DAWE surnamed descendants of either of these families, particularly if they might be interested in participating in the above DNA project
