Anyone interested in what DNA testing can do to help break through their brick walls, or indicate what families are related, is welcome to join the newly set up DAWE and variant surname DNA project.

I have no commercial interest in the companies involved, just an interest in the DAWE/DAW surnames, and have had great success with a couple of other DNA projects (FAIRBAIRN and RUNCIMAN), so have turned my attention to a surname on my mother's side of the family to see what turns up.
