Just found this Newfoundland stray in England so thought I'd post the data.
I was following the family of Sampson and Maryann DAWE thru the census data. Their dtr Martha Elizabeth, born Stokefleming, Devon c 1859 pops up in 1891 as married to a James Hellyer DAWE born Newfoundland c 1855.
In the 1891 census he was a licensed victualler, they were living in Morice, Dist of Stoke Damerel, Devon.
Couldn't find them in 1901, probably because there were 2 death registrations in 1900. James Hellyer, aged 45 reg. March qtr of 1900 Martha Elizabeth aged 42 reg. Sep qtr of 1900, both reg. District of Plymouth

It may be pertinent to note that in the 1881 census Sampson was shown as an agent of the Hudson Bay Co.

James Hellyer and Martha Elizabeth DAWE's marriage was registered in the Dist of Kingsbridge in the March qtr of 1888
