Jessica, The William Alanson that I have married to the Snider is s/o Samuel Washington. My William Alanson Dawdy is s/o William C. Dawdy. I have a little tin type album and some of the pictures are not identified. It belonged to Wm C. and Louisa Capehart Dawdy and I believe the pictures were taken in Texas. Do you have any idea what your Wm Alanson and Josephine Snider looked like? William C. Dawdy and his family were in Texas with Allanson D. Dawdy for awhile, then William C. returned to Illinois, dying in 1883. Would love to exchange info with you. I have a picture of all of William C. Dawdy's sons when they were small and one of his son, Alanson and daughter Rachel together. I'm almost positive there is a tin type of Allanson D. Dawdy (the Texan) when he was young and a picture of him and one of his wives when he was older. I have a letter from George W. Dawdy written in Texas to his parents (Wm C. Dawdy) in Illinois. He tells of someone named Lou having a new baby named S. Belle. This letter was written in 1882. He didn't say the baby was his, but it seems he was staying with someone, perhaps kin. Does that ring any bells?? Hope to hear from you again. Joy
