Sheldon married in 1855 to Mary Jane Abbe of Norfolk County. Mary Jane remarried within about a year of that marriage after the death of Sheldon. He could have followed his brother John to SW Ontario.
A Cidney W. Davy is found living with John Davy on the 1861 Elgin Census. I beleive this is Sidney Warner Davy who later marries Jennie Compton and he died in Acme, Michigan.
John and his wife Liddy are in South Dorchester, Elgin County in 1851.It is said that Peter Davy and Margaret Vaness had a son John who was a minister and went to Southwestern Ontario.
A Peter Davy can be found living next to James Benjamin Mitts and his family in Huntington in 1851.
Fanny Mariah Davy is living with her husband John Alkenbrack Mitts in the same household as James Benjamin. Witnesses to the marriage of John Alkenbrack Mitts and Fanny Mariah Davy are Peter Davy and Martin Snider.Martin Snider & his wife Hannah Davy are living near the Mitts and Davy family in the Huntington 1851 census.
Fanny & John Mitts are found in Harwick Twp, Kent County in 1861 living next to Martin Snider and his wife Hannah Davy. John and Fanny later move back to Elgin County. Reverend John Leghorn who married John & Fanny Mitts can be later found in Ingersoll, just north of where the Davy and Mitts families lived in Elgin County.
Mary Redden/Redding was married to John Redden, son of Francis Redden and Elizabeth Snider. Peter Davy and Mary Redden were married in the Victoria District on October 20, 1851
I have more on this family. John Alkenbrack Mitts and Fanny Mariah Davy/Davey were my great great grandparents.
