What I know: William Bowyer (spelled Boyer and Bower in some records) was in Adams CO Ohio where he married Delila Curry March 29, 1827. They moved with a family of John Shepherds to Tippicanoe CO. Indiana in 1833, purchased land there in 1838, and Delila and William died 1841 and 1843. John Shepherd was appointed legal gardian of the children: Mary Ann,16, John,14, Nancy 12, Sarah 10, Maria Jane 8, James 3. After the marriage of Mary Ann to Gideon Lay Davisson, the gardianship was tranferred to Gideon. John married Elizabeth Adamson, and they are my great grandparents. I have a fairly complete history of their descendants, but know nothing about what happened to John's sibling. I also have no ancestory beyond William, except the family story: that the decended from an English family who went to Ireland, then fled to Holland to avoid religous persecution, and at some time came to America because the father didn't want his sons to marry Dutch girls. Don't know how many generations back that was. I would appreciate any info you can give me.
