I am looking for info on Archibald Davisson...I am told he changed his name to Burris in England and then changed it again in America to Burrows... I am not sure whether he was born in England or Ireland...The story goes he left Ireland and went to England and was involved in a revolution and escaped when it failed...A friend owned a ship and hid him in a pickle barrel and took him to America...He married Mary Holbert in WV and took his mother-in-laws maiden name Burrows...I can't go back any further till I find his parents and sibblings...Any help would be greatly appreciated...Irene Locke Read
