Hi Judy
Thanks for the mail. No you won't find any Davidson connections with my lineage. My interest in Davidsons as opposed to Davison is the occurence of several misspellings of my family name over the centuries, but after about 1817 this is a very rare occurence in my line.
On to your requests.
The first one, Henry Davidson, was unsuccessful. This does not mean that they are not there, it just means that in the case of BMW, only about 60% of the records in the 1841 census are readable (which is why I am hoping that someone will either lend me the 1851 census in return for borring my 1841 census, or swap them with me).
I belive that there is more luck with your William born 1807. At South Street in BMW we have William Davidson, Baker, aged 34 and wife Margaret aged 34. They have a son William aged 8. INterestingly there is also a Mary Ann Davidson aged 35, Independant, resident at the same address - perhaps a sister to William ??
Hope this helps.
Regards
Gerry
