Two of my lines include above names. Isham Davis, b. 1764 in Wake Co., NC, married Sallie Edwards. They moved to Oglethorpe Co., GA, where they raised their family and eventually died. One of their sons was Pryor Langsford Davis (1813-1890), who married Elizabeth Simms (1814-bef.1860). They raised a family of 10 children in GA One of their sons, Robert Lee Davis, married Ella Adams in Caddo Parish LA in 1868. They later moved to Shelby Co, TX.
The other line is ISHAM DIXON DAVIS (1823-1878). (I don't know any earlier names in his line.) He was born in MS, according to census, etc. He married Martha Elizabeth Caldwell about 1847. By 1849, the family had moved to Grimes Co., TX. There they raised 6 children.
Can anyone provide a link between these two Davis families, or further information on their possible connection?
