Hickman DAVIS, Kershaw Distr, planter, to Henry STOKES, Sumter District, planter, for $200 half of a plantation, about 300 acres, formerly conveyed to said Hickman and John Nichols. This is part of tract originally granted to Samuel Mathis 7 Oct 1786. This tract borders Allen Smith, John J Jones. Signed Hickman DAVIS (x). Wit: John J Jones Jr & Jane Jones. 14 Dec 1822 at request of John NICHOLS & Henry STOKES this was resurveyed. Tract is 237 acres on both sides of Turkey Creek, waters of the lynches Creek. Bounded on N by Charity TILLER; on the S by John Jones; on the E by John NICHOLS and Daniel McDonald; on the W by Charity TILLER and Samuel Mathis.

James TILLER, Kershaw Distr to Thomas DAVIS of Fayetteville, NC 290 acres for $300, land where James M Price now lives being part of original grant to MASON DAVIS 20 Apr 1793, on south side Little Lynches Creek, bounded by James M Price and James TILLER, & Thomas Burrs. Wit John J Jones and Sarah Jones. [*Note I do not know of any relation to this Thomas DAVIS- currently we know of no connection to NC-Paula]
