DAVIS--NY, WI, and IA

Greetings fellow Davis researchers:

Charles B. DAVIS was b. 1810, Dutchess Co., NY; m. Maria RODMAN in May 12, 1834, in NY. The family left NY and headed toward Wisconsin between 1845-1850, left Wis. and headed for Iowa abt 1855. Children (as listed in bio, History of Boone Co., Iowa 1884):

1. Mary: b. 1836, m. JamesButler or Bulger, b. Ireland, probably in Wisconsin abt 1865. She is found living with her dau., Sarah Van Dresser/Dreser/Drezer, in Darien, Walworth Co., WI in 1900. Mary is divorced.

2. Jane: m. Mr. Robert G. Smith of Indiana

3. Joseph A.: b. 1841, NY. My great-grandpa. He married Mary CARLILE, in 1874, they had: Rosa Mae, b. 1882, m. Artie Blaine Hersh abt 1900; Charles, b. 1884, m. Lucille Carr; John (grandpa) b. 1886, m. Helen M. COOPER, 1925; and Joseph A., b. 1889, m. Lillie May Good,12 children.

4. Julia

5. Ruth

and 2 deceased.

Here is my quandry. I found a birth record for a Parmelia Davis, born 1-19-1847, Summit, Schoharie Co., NY to Charles Davis and Maria. I came across a bio of Francis M. CLARK, son of Amelia DAVIS and Lambert W. CLARK, stating Amelia was b. 1-19-1847 in NY.

Since Amelia is still living at the time her son's bio was written in 1914, she is obviously not one of the "deceased" children. I have no information on Julia or Ruth. Also, since she and Lambert were married in 1862 in Clinton Co., if she was their dau., how did she get omitted from the bio?

I know that Mary lived in Walworth Co., WI, and that Charles and Maria, according to the bio, lived in Clinton, Webster and Boone Counties in Iowa. They are found in Boone Co., in 1870 and both died there in 1891 and 1899 respectively.

Basically, I'm searching for anything that will prove or disprove the relationship between this Amelia and my Charles and Maria. Any help would be appreciated.
