Hello again Sam,
All my research pointed to Peter Davis and Mary Ann Kingswell being William Davis' parents.
I have just received their marriage cert. which shows William's father being George Davis Carriage body maker, NOT Peter Davis as I thought.
William and Charlotte had the following children:
Frank born c 1869
Alice born c 1871
Beryl/Betsy/Bessie? born c1876
William born c 1881
Florence born 12/12/1882
Albert born c 1885
Eleanor born c 1890
Somehow, I don't think there is a connection, but keep in touch if you think otherwise.
