Densil Ray Davis, 77, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, passed
away Friday, February 15, 2008 at Wellmont Holston Valley
Medical Center.

Mr. Davis was born February 22, 1930 in Fall Branch,
Washington Co TN, to William and Lena Davis and had
resided in this area his entire life.

He retired from Eastman Chemical Tenite Division in 1986
after 34 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran and served
in Korea. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
his infant son, Sammy Davis; three brothers, Roy, Kermit
and Kenneth Davis; two sisters, Edith Hulse, Annie Henry
and son-in-laws, Bill Teague and Mark Hill.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marilyn; daughters,
Sharon McClain and husband Robert, Sandra Teague, Janet
Wilde and husband Billy and April Kilby, all of Kingsport;
grandchildren, Sarah Henderson, Amanda Teague, Jessica and
Chris Hill, Zane and Madison Kilby; great-grandson,
Clayton Collins; sisters, Dorothy Mann of Kingsport, Jean
Sandlerson of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18,
2008 from 5 to 7 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home. Services
will follow with Rev. Jeff Strong and Rev. Wayne Waycaster
officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February
19, 2008 in East Lawn Memorial Park Family and friends are
asked to assemble at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Robert McClain, Jeff Kilby, Chris
Hill, Andy Henderson, Phil Mann, Rod Davis and Steven
Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Collins, Zane
Kilby and Billy Wilde.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sullivan Baptist
Church, Building Fund, 4152 Maplewood St., Kingsport, TN
37660.
