Don't know if this will be of any help, but I have Francis A. Davis (b. unknown) married to Harriet Barrett in Whiteside Co., IL 26 OCT 1856. Francis' parents were William Davis and Hannah Appleton - I have no info on them. Don't know if William is a relation to your Bill Davis. Francis and Harriet had 4 children: Willie (b. unknown, probably 1857), Susan b. 1858, Jennie b. 1860, married a Cokeroft date unknown, Adaline b. between 1860 and 1869 married a Hornsby and had 2 children, Midge Hornsby and Harriet Hornsby. All of Frances A. Davis/Harriett Barrett's children born in Whiteside Co., IL. Let me know if any of this helps!
