Hi: Im trying to find my the background of my Davila family but is very difficult since the people who could answer me the questions are already dead, including my father. I regret now that I didn't sit down with him and ask him when I had the chance. My Davila family is from Salinas, Puerto Rico. My grandfather was Meneleo Davila, he died in 1974 and he had about 70 years old. He married Antonia Bayona (died 1985) and had two children, Ana Davila Bayona (d. 1972) and Gladys Davila Bayona (age 70 d.2001). Also, on the side, he had five other children with my real grandmother Modesta De Jesus, (daughter of Jose De Jesus (Spanish) and Nano (dont know the last name). Meneleo and Modesta's children are Miriam, Margarita, Jesus, Gloria and Hector (my father). They all had the last name Davila De Jesus, except my father, which was adopted by Meneleo's legal wife Antonia Bayona and became Hector Davila Bayona (b. 1946, d. 2007 age 60). They all born in Salinas, except Antonia Bayona, she was from Guayama, Puerto Rico. Meneleo aparently was the ladies man because there are other bothers and sisters, but I dont remember or know the names. I just know there is one in Aguadilla, one in Arroyo or Naguabo, another still in Salinas. He had very dark skin, black and so all his children. Before Meleneo I had nothing. If someone know, please contact me at my email joan_la_nana@yahoo.com. Thanks. Notify Administrator about this message?
