Adrian Daily Telegram, Saturday, December 1, 2007, pg A2 Josefa M. ‘Josie’ Davila BRITTON — Josie M. Davila, age 77, of Britton died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at Lynwood Manor. She was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Brownsville, Texas, to Francisco and Eloisa (Pereida) Mireles. She was married to Manuel Davila on Aug. 1, 1952, in Angola, Ind. Josie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, its choir, and the Guadalupe Society. In addition to her husband, Manuel, she is survived by a daughter, Diana Villanueva and her husband, Albert, of Britton; a sister, Elvira De La Rosa and her husband, Gilbert, of Houston, Texas; a grandson, Michael Ryan Davila; and two stepgrandsons, Chris and Joe Villanueva. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Manuel Davila Jr., a brother and two sisters. The Funeral Liturgy will be offered Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at 9 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Bob Schramm as celebrant. Burial will be in Ridgeway Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh, 1448 Short St. Tecumseh (517-424-1848), where there will be a Vigil Prayer Service held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday at 8 a.m. until the time of the service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
