First, this is a collateral line. John Davies married 2/ Anna Maria Ingram, who was the daughter of James Ingram d. 1795. Mrs. Eleanor McSwain of macon, GA, sent me information in 1985 including GA Archives data sent to the Archives in 1939-1946 sent my Mrs. William Andrews of Augusta, GA. She apparently had the John Davies Bible and sent the following information to the Archives:
Martha Davies Consort of John Davies, departed this life the 22, day of October 1798.
Ana Maria Ingrim Davies, second wife of John Davies, departed this life on the 20th of Nov 1867 [sic - Augusta Chronicle shows her death as 1807]
John Davies, departed this life on the 13 of February 1817.
John Davies and Ana Maria Ingrim married July 21, 1804.
Martha Davies wife of John Davies, was born the twenty ninth (29th) day fo September, 1760.
John Davies was born the 16th day of Nov. in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one (Viz. 1761).
William Washington Davies son of martha & John Davies was born the 12th day of july 1792. Died July 29, 1862.
Jane Douglas daughter of John and Mary Douglas was born on 6th of September 1801.
W. Washington Davies and Jane Douglas were married on the fifteenth (15th) of December 1819.
Jane Douglas Davies wife of W. W.Davies departed this life Nov. 9th 1820.
William W. Davies and Charlott W. Howard were married the 5th day of January 1837.
William W. Davies son of John and Martha Davies departed this life July 29, 1862.
Charlott Martin Davies wife of William W. Davies and daughter of Jessie (Doctor) and Sara Stuart Howard departed this life Nov. 29th 1892.
In a 1940 letter from Mrs. Andrews, there was an argument over whether Martha was a Walker or Emanuel. Interesting to know if the problem has been solved.
