I certainly wish I could provide more, and was wondering what branch that immigrated to the U.S. was described in the book you mentioned.

Right now I only know my great great grandfather Abrham Ries (Rees?) Davis was in fact a Davies who emmigrated from Pontnewynydd, which was a village in the parish of Abersychan in the county of
Monmouthshire, South Wales. I know nothing of his siblings.
