Looking for the descendants of Samuel Davies who was born approx. 1893 (birth place unknown)died in Rhyl, Wales in 1966...his father was John Davies a tailor who was born in the Aberystwyth district (family rumour has it that he was from Devil's Bridge, wales)
Samuel married three times:
Rose Hilditch (who died young and is buried in Rawtenstall Cemetery)...they had two children: John (b. 1913) & Mary (b. 1915). Rose was teh daughter of James Hilditch and Elizabeth Ann Walker.
Elizabeth McCormick (or McCormack)...had two children as well: Joseph (b. 1920) and Samuel (b. & d. in 1921) Elizabeth was the daughter of David C. McCormick & Laura M. Thomas
Agnes Fallon...the love of his life apparently. Agnes & Elizabeth must've been good friends as they grew up together on the same street in Rawtenstall. Agnes was the daughter of James Fallon & Mary Welsh.
Samuel had many jobs: Labourer, Iron Foundry worker, and others which I cannot recall at the moment.
He lived in Rawtenstall in 1911 with a family with the last name of Noble (one of the daughters of the Noble family, Catherine, was my grandmother's godmother). He moved to Preston when he married Agnes Fallon...rumour is that he "ran away" with her...ie. i'm not sure if that means Elizabeth McCormick Davies was still living or not.
Sadly, Samuel died in Rhyl Wales while on vacation at a caravan park.
I would GREATLY appreciate ANY information that ANYONE would know of the descendants of Samuel Davies. PLEASE email me should you know the whereabouts of his descendants.
It is uncertain if any of his children married & had children, however, it looks as though Joseph may have married an Elizabeth PLATT and had a child by the name of Peter in 1950 born in Haslingden Lancashire district.
